Haiti Earthquake Disasters

The article I picked out was from the day after the earthquake occured. The article stated alot of information from the the hundreds of people pronounced dead to the hundreds of shelters collapsed. From a week ago to now, there have been more shelters and buildings found completely destroyed. Also, there have been tons of people found dead. This was an awful disaster to happen and Haiti is known as one of the poorest countries. They need to rebuild everything and start a new beginning. This is such a sad thing to happen and I really hope we that there are more things we can do to help besides giving money and support. Also, the article said that the U.S. has stepped in and is giving aid to those in Haiti and to help rebuild the country. Also, many cultural and historical buildings have been destroyed and that makes such an impact on Haiti. It is hard to put myself in the Haitian people because I cannot imagine having to go through the awful disaster they had to go through. I cannot imagine having some of the most cultural monuments being taken from me. Even worse, family members and my shelter.
