British Colonization of Australia
The British colonized Australia in around 1788. The British colonized Australia because the British needed more space for jails, government buildings, and hospitals. The British took over pretty much all the land and the people that lived in Australia before the British colonized were forced into following the British culture and the British rulings. Many Australians shelter was taken away so the Britain could use the land for their facilities. The British colonies in Australia spread fast and completely took over Australia. The Australian's had to get used to all the British ways including their new houses which consisted of brick. Also, they had to get used to the over populations of settlers from Britain to Australia.
