British in India

The British colony in India was good and bad. On the good side, the British were training the Indian soilders to be in there army which in turn would help[ them to take over all major parts of India. The idea was that the british would help the kings of india to conquor each other then they would rebel and take over all of that kings land. They went on like this until they had controll over all of india. Once they had controll they made advances in weaving, farming and transportation.

The British did a lot of good in india but they hurt the country a lot to. They helped advance farming tools but took more of the crops that were grown for a very low price. Just like in the Americas, All goods in India were taxed heavily. Also they tok not only crops from the people but all kinds of goods. They would demand a certain amount of a good and would pay very little for it. The british were very bad to the indian people even though they helped them in many ways.
