Response to End of Poverty

I think that in his video, Jefferey Sachs makes some good points, and I do agree with some of them fully. I do believe that poverty can be eliminated, and the points he makes in his video makes me realize that this is a very real possibility. However, he states in his video that he believes that it can be solved in our generation. While I think that we can make a dent in the issue of poverty, by using the help of organizations we currently have, I do not believe that anytime in our generation poverty will be completely eliminated. The process of attempting to end extreme world poverty is extremely gradual, and would take many years of hard work. While I would like the problem to be solved in the near future, I do not think it is realistic to say that it will. I enjoyed the video because Sachs showed both sides and points of view, while at the same time expressing his own, which allows viewers to form their own opinion on the subject.
