Response to The End of Poverty

I think Jeffrey Sachs makes the elimination of poverty a very real and close possibility. As a skeptic, however, I find the ideas to be near impossible in the current state of the world. Now, if the world as a whole would be willing to cooperate with each other to meet the goals to end poverty, then maybe poverty will be nonexistent. I can see that happening in 40 years or more, but not 20 or less. That is an impossible time limit because there are so many problems in the world. As long as there are problems in the world, there will always be poverty. So in conclusion, I agree with some of his ideas, but I don't think change is coming anytime soon.
