Poverty
I found both of these articles very intriguing, but also very unnerving. I think it is ridiculous that more than 20% of the world's population has to live on less than one dollar a day. Putting that into perspective, I spend more on one piece of food than they do on a days expenses. I think what struck me the most was that this is the world's majority. It is not like this is only a small percent of the population. Another statistic that blew me away was that 12% of the world's population uses 85% of the world's water. I do not know how people can overlook such an unequal distribution of necessary resources. It isn't like we have to find a way to make more food, or clean more water, we need to find a way for everyone to get a livable amount of both, another remediable injustice.
