Response to The Mission

This movie answered many questions that I had about the first colonizations of the New World. Even though I've read about it, it never dawned on me that so much blood shed and oppression was involved. I found it disturbing that the government of Portugal and Spain could dictate the natives lives from across and ocean. This movie, overall, was very interesting and made me think.
