The Mission Response
I think that this movie was an accurate idea of what was going on in Latin America at that time. I found this movie upsetting with how many people were killed and how merciless the Portuguese were to anyone who got in their way. But I also thought that it was helpful because it shows just what the native people had to go through and it portrays what people were willing to do just to own the largest amount of land possible. It also helped me to better understand how the countries of Latin America came to be what they are like today. It is also stinks to know that the people are still struggling to keep their culture going today. It is also a good example of how the Europeans had this Eurocentric way of thinking that people who were from Europe had the right to do this.
