3)What is the worldwide significance of the email?
The canal made trading through shipping much easier and cheaper for all people trading to India. It made it so that the people didn't have to sail all the way around the country to get to India, they could just sail right through the canal. This ended up saving thousands of miles which saves time and money. Although many people were opposed to the idea of building a canal at first, it ended up being a huge success.
