Time for School Response

I enjoyed this movie because it showed how children in different countries view education and school. Here, we often think of education as a right that can't be taken away. We also often think of it as a burden or annoyance. Looking at these different views was not only interesting but very revealing as well. The movie forced you to examine the way that differences in location can give root to differences in thought, opinion, and outlook. I really liked watching this movie.

  1. I agree, in countries where most children go to school, they don't really take their schooling as a privilege. In developing nations, kids are fortunate to have education and even luckier to graduate. Here, graduating is simply normal.

  2. I agree that this movie gives you a different perspective. Watching the lives of children like Shugafa, Neeraj, etc., you see that they live lives were they have many responsibilities. They want and education, but its hard. Something else interesting is that the movie made Ken, who probably has the closest lifestyle to us, look lazy (even though he probably wasn't really lazy). It's just that some of the other children have so many more responsibilities and worries.
