"This video showed many peoples lives in many countries. They were all very different from each other. The movie was about how these different kids went to school. I focused on one person. It was about the girl who was from India. She could only do night school, which is a way different expierience then here. They use lamp light as their one and only light. She also had some chores. Her parents were against her going to school which schocked me because most parents are supposed to want the best for their kids. I guess thats not what they considered the best. The night school got shut down, and as a 15 year old had to take classes with 1st graders. That is something you never see here, a 15 year old as smart as a 1st grader. She was persistant though, which helped her through schooling." -Clay Balter

Nice post Clay! I suppose that with different cultures come different expectations. If you grew up in a society from a line of females who were never given the opportunity to even go to school, you and the males of the society wouldn't think that female education is of use. It's kind of the same as females working for a living in early 1900s and back here in the U.S. I'm thinking it's all about the history of the culture that can sway how people think.
