School Video

i thought the video was very interesting. I had no idea that kids in other countries, well in some countries, had to fight to stay in school. I was kind of blind in the fact that education was a luxury, and sometimes hard to get dependent upon the kind of nation you grow up in. But i was aware that there were children in the world who didnt get education at all. I studied the nomadic gypsy lifestyle, and they are uneducated because of their constant migrations. But their beliefs are much different than other cultures'. Most cultures don't think it is nessecary for girls to go to school. Many countries still are in favor of men and women have to do housework instead. A girl at my age in India for example, might not even have an education. While I go to a school where I have to pay for education, some kids my age can't even take advantage of the public schooling provided for them.

  1. true.
i agree with all your thoughts, and i thought about a lot of similar stuff. When I saw the video it was almost hard to believe how hard it was for someone to get an education. When I saw how hard it was for some girls to go to school I thought about how strong they had to be. If I was in that situation I truthfully don't think i could handle going to school with they thought i might be killed.

  2. I agree with you in saying that I didn't realize how lucky we are to be able to go to school. Especially since girl's educations isn't really a top priority for many countries and that we should be grateful that we can go to a school like MFS and be accepted here.

  3. This is all sadly right. I too do not appreciate or realize how easy it is for me to go to school and get an education. I do not know why though because I was aware of other children not haveing all the priviledges that i do-even in public schools in the US. But now, this video was really an expedient eye opener.
