Response to Wide Angle video
This was a really good video. It was really eye opening how people have to live in other countrys. I have never had to go to night school or have to go to school in large groups because of terrorist. This really made me grateful for what everything I have today. One thing that really got to me was when they got the other kids on the computer and all of them talked to each other and had conversations. Even though they live in completely different places under completely different circumstances, they're still alike in some ways.

I agree with Chuchu. it was eye-opening. Here in the United states we take things like schools for granted and i think that it is good that we got to see that it is not like that in all countries. I've never had to go to night school, either and we don't have to go to school in large groups because of terrorists. I am grateful, too, of everything that i have today.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you mentioned that the kids werw able to talk with each other over the compurter. That stood out to me as well. I think it's great that this organization is providing them with the opportunity to see other kids' lives. Maybe in certain circumstances, such as Ken's, he'll be just as grateful as we are after hearing about people like Jefferson and Shugufa.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same too. You are right, it would be scary to go to night school or being endangered by terrorists. I caught my attention on how we take stuff for granted especially the Romanian girl. It was very interesting to see technology based in situation you wouldn't find them too, like Neeraj.
