Switzerland's Constitution

“All humans are equal before the law” is based on the Enlightenment idea of John Locke that all men are created equal. “The Swiss Federation protects the liberty and rights of the people and safeguards the independence and security of the country” is based on the Enlightenment idea by Rousseau and Locke that the government is supposed to protect the rights and independence and security of its people.
