Sachs on Science, Technology, and Poverty Response

I really like how realistic this article is, and how nothing is explained in a way that would be hard to understand. Jeff Sachs seems to understand that humans don't always act in the way that is most beneficial to the most people, but most beneficial to themselves. He talks about scientists producing more while working in groups, and needing to work in groups. Because most scientists are already in rich countries, scientists looking for another group of scientists interested in the same topic would have a much higher chance of finding such a group in a rich country. This then causes scientists to stay in rich countries, and makes sure that rich countries receive all the benefits. I think this is a very good way to describe how things happen. Everyone will always do what's best for them first. If they can help others along the way, then great, but people will always put themselves first.
