Sach's article response
The most striking piece of this whole thing is that humans are greedy. Whatever happens to get them greedy isn't important. It is the fact that matured humans are generally greedy. Or at least the ones in power are. So this made me think. Why? If you think about it our close relatives wiped out an entire branch of our lineage. Why? because they wanted more... more land, more food, more overall power (they didn't really know about it but pretty much if they defeated another tribe then they were regarded higher just like in most sports). So are only humans greedy? of course not. If you're not greedy in the animal world you get wiped out. Even in the plant world the same thing happens. It might not be a conscious decision to be greedy but an organism's gotta do what an organism's gotta do. If you think of any animal there is greed. I think that as a species we are actually less greedy than most other animals are. We actually share things with each other. This is one of the reasons I think that we survived as a species, we gave our things in return for other things and could progress as a species.

You know Ferber, I feel that you hit home with this post. It's almost as if because someone doesn't have this or that or they do and won't share or help out, greed comes along. People are in poverty and there is a majority of people who don't care. Self interest. If everyone would put aside their self interest, maybe we could have the "perfect world" if so to speak. Even when the poor gives to the poor, it's a great thing.
