Why we buy foreign goods instead of making them locally
One of the main reasons why we buy foreign goods instead of making them locally are the labor costs. In the United States we have to pay people more to make things, while in some foreign countries, companies can pay the people there less to make things. And because of this many of the things we buy are made abroad, which forces us to buy foreign goods. Plus many companies that have products that we like are foreign companies. Most likely they too want to cut down on labor costs so they will have their factories in other countries to cut down on labor costs. Plus in general many foreign companies offer products that our better than products made in our country.
