I think that there are a few reasons why people buy goods and services from other countries. Not every place has everything that's needed. It's easier to get things shipped to stores in america from other countries then trying to produce everything ourselves. Some places have natural resources that other places don't, so it's more convenient to just make the product there and when its ready have it delivered to different countries where it will be sold. Also it makes it easier for people who may not be able to find a job where they live now, to go and travel to a different country or place and find a job.
