Johannes Kepler believed that the sun was essentially the essence of god, and therefore should be placed in the center of the universe. Instead of circular paths around the sun, his view of the universe had planets orbiting in elliptical paths. He was able to produce a model of the universe based on Brahe's and his own contributions. He published a book of his findings in 1609, titled New Astronomy, which became very popular. He was also very important because he was the one to inspire Galileo to start doing research of his own.

Johannes Kepler is a very interesting guy and it's really cool his accomplishments like creating the model and etc. He was very smart for his century and he gave us the mathematical reasons of the universe, and the orbits of the planets. I wonder where we would be if we still thought the Earth was the center of the universe and planets orbited in circular paths.
