Isaac Newton

Isaac Newton is said to be the father of physics and helped on how we see the world of gravity today. He came up with fundemental laws that we use today. His laws proved theories that the earth revolved. People didn't think that the earth revolved, they thought it just stayed still. But theories came up, but still people could not believe this because they couldn't feel the movement and if you jumped you would land thousands of miles away because the earth moved under you. But Newton's law, inertia, contested this. People new that anything that is at rest stays at rest unless acted upon by an outside force. But Newton added that anything that goes in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. So when we jump we stay in motion with the earth. Newton was a very religious man to and thought the universe worked in a mathematical way, but was started by a supreme power or god, as he thought. He came up with the law that things fall to earth at the same rate as other objects no matter how much mass it had. So a would have the same rate of fall as a bowling ball if dropped from the Empire State Building. Newton was a pioneer in physic and changed the view which plays a huge part in modern sciences.
