Austrailia

The first inhabitants were the Aborigines who arrived from south-east Asia, 40,000 BC. In 1788 British Navy captain Arthur Phillip arrived at Sydney with a fleet of 11 vessels. Australia becomes the first country to introduce the Australian ballot for elections in 1856. In 1986 The Australia Act makes Australian law fully independent of the British parliament and legal system. These were all major parts of what made Austrailia the country it is today.
