Mary Wollstoncraft
Mary Wollstonecraft was a woman who wanted equal rights for women. She published a book in 1792, which was called Vindication on the Rights of Woman. The book was advocating equality for all the sexes. It made Mary well known and disliked by many people. She wrote about how woman were "helpless, charming adornments in the household." She talked about how woman were mind probed into thinking all woman were supposed to do is work in a household and to raise a family and were educated in slavish dependence. She pointed out how confined existence will drive the woman into sheer frustration making these nice woman turn mad, but with the right education it make women's capacities to good use.
