Adam Smith
Adam Smith was born in early 1723 in Scotland. He was known mainly for his book called, "An Inquiry into Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations", which he published in 1776. His book was the first comprehensive system of economy written. Adam Smith was known for views of economics and political and social evolution. Later in his life he became a tutor to the Duke of Buccleuch for two years, and while traveling with him he met other more prominent economic theorists. He then returned home and spent ten years writing a new book called, "The Wealth of Nations". Two years after the book was published, he was appointed the commissioner of customs in Edinburgh, Scotland, and remained there until he died on July 17th, 1790.
