  1. This information was interesting, and it showed what the renaissance was bout and how the people believed in religious ideas very powerfully. I learned about how it was a intellectual movement for most of Europe.

  2. I didn't know that philosophers of ancient Greece had explored ideas that became apart of the Enlightenment. I thought that was very interesting.

  3. This is an interesting article that describes how the Enlightenment truly became critical, reforming, and revolutionary.I learned that this way of thinking centrally used the power of reason. Meaning someone understands the world and universe, and improves his or her own condition.

  4. This article made me think of the Illuminati because of the enlightenment. I learned that many people didn't like the idea of enlightenment because it went against religion. This article made me think how peoples views on science were highly based on religion during the Renaissance.

  5. It's interesting to think how the Enlightenment movement spread. It's also interesting to see what cultures, ethnic groups, and religions took part or caused the development of the movement, such as the Greeks and Romans. This movement was like a chain reaction. For example, methodology influenced things like science and mathematics. Many people took part in this movement. I found it interesting that the Enlightenment produced the first modern theories of psychology and ethics.

  8. I liked the information that was in the article, it defined words and was clear. I learned that the "Enlightenment" was an intellectual movement that caused revolutionary developments in art, philosophy, and politics. Also, that reason is a key term in the enlightenment. Reason was defined as the power by which man understands the universe and improves his own condition.

  10. This article was interesting because it briefly focused on a question that is still with us today; can religion and science be believed in together? Many people during the Enlightenment and even today believe that many scientific theories are "ungodly" or "immoral".

  11. i thought it was a pretty vague description of the enlightenment, and captured all the main points of it and generalized them. and i didn't really learn much because the majority of it i knew, with the exception of the fact that the enlightenment produced the first modern secularized theories of psychology and ethics.

  13. I thought it was good how it explained the enlightenment in detail and how it started describing what happened from the beginning. How it said, "The powers and uses of reason had first been explored by the philosophers of ancient Greece, who discerned in the ordered regularity of nature the workings of an intelligent mind." I liked it.

  15. I thought it was interesting to learn how reason made its way into aspects of society, eventually starting the Enlightenment. It was also cool how it started people thinking about psychology and ethics.

  16. I thought that the subject of overall Enlightenment is fascinating. Learning about how people strayed from the public thought to apply reason and philosophize about how things really worked really caught my interest. Without thoughts of these original people of enlightenment, people now would still probobally be letting the bible rule all of their thoughts and ideas.
