American Culture

In class, we talked about whether or not culture could be defined. We all pretty much agreed that American culture is hard to define. However, some people said it was impossible while others said it was. I believe that American culture is impossible to define because it is so complex and takes bits and pieces from so many other cultures. You can try to define culture, and that definition may be what you see, but it won't apply to everyone and it will change. Culture never stays the same for very long. Every event that you read about in the mewspaper or small thing that you may see for yourself changes how you see things, and, in the long run, the whole American culture.

  1. Although what your saying about culture being hard to defineis true, I disagree with your thought. I think all culture in general is hard to define, but it still can be defined. I believe people have different opinions on their ideas of a country's culture, but that everyones definition is still a definition.
