My summary was on socialism in Canada. Basically Canada wants to encourage people to come live there with universal health care and they encourage people whoare smart in certain to fields to join the country. Thought the health care is great txes are not with sky high rates due to the government running all businesses. Also the site I went to says that the economy in Canda is slow due to the high taxes. So socialism is a two way street one way has alot of great pros like the health care and other low rates on needs while the other way is high taxes and a slow economy.

In the article I read about fascism, it said that fascism was sort of like socialism, except that the governments role in people's lives was more indirect. I was wondering how other people felt about that.
ReplyDeleteI agree, another negative to a socialist government is that sometimes health care is very slow. This means that if you have a problem you might have to wait in a line of others for proper care.
ReplyDeletegood job
The socalist health care system may work for Canada, but do you think the US could be able to do something like this? I'm just wondering and good job with the article.
ReplyDeleteI think that the US should have some sort of universal health care system but if desired, one could pay extra for insurance and better health care. I think that the universal health care would be good for people that cant afford simple procedures but it wouldn't be able to cover costly operations.
ReplyDeleteI think that one of the problems with providing universal health care in the US is that there are too many people for that to be really effective. I think the idea is a great one, but lines for new organs or procedures would be really long.
ReplyDeleteThe waiting list for organs is already too long without universal healthare. The U.S. is just a country that can't handle universal healthcare. Canada can because of its small population. It'd be nice to have, but it's imposible for our country.
ReplyDeleteI think that having universal healthcare in our country is a good idea. But like Ari said, our country is too big. Also, people would have to wait too long for the medical attention they would need.
ReplyDeleteI certianly think that the US has too high of a population to have a "traditional" universal health care system. That bieng said, i also think it would be a good idea to have a "limited" universal health care system for things like check-ups, exams, and simple procedures.
